Interested in learning to play croquet? We are running a series of three sessions for beginners on Tuesday evenings starting on Tuesday May 7th. The sessions run from 6.00-7.30 pm and the course costs £20 or £10 for those in receipt of disability benefits or on income support (the first session is free – only pay if you continue). If you decide to join the club at the end of the course then you will be able to join the club at a special introductory rate.
We have all the equipment. All you need to do is wear a pair of flat-soled shoes (trainers are fine) to avoid damaging the lawn. Bring a jacket in case of wet weather: we will carry on playing even if it’s raining, though if it gets really heavy we’ll retreat into the pavilion for some theory.
In order that we have an idea of how many people will turn up it would help us if you could register below. This doesn’t commit you in any way to coming, but does enable us to make sure we have got enough helpers and equipment.
Update: 23 April 2004. This year’s course is now full. You may still register to express your interest in case we decide to run another course later in the year.
